A relaxed end-of-year studio gathering
Our violin and cello students have been coming together in recent weeks for lessons and ensemble rehearsals, preparing for our end-of-year strings concert at Bursill Lane Studio in Katoomba.
This is a relaxed, informal studio gathering — more like a shared group rehearsal than a formal concert — and a lovely way to mark the end of the year. Students of different ages and experience levels combine to form one large ensemble, playing music we’ve explored throughout the year.
The program includes a mix of familiar Classical pieces, lively Celtic tunes, and a tango or two, all arranged in multiple parts so students can experience the richness of ensemble playing.
Events like this reflect the heart of our studio: calm, supportive learning, growing confidence through music, and the sense of connection that comes from playing together.
Families and friends are warmly welcome to attend and share the afternoon with us.
